North Carolina High School Basketball - Cannon holds off Caldwell Academy
November 14, 2023: Concord, NC 28027 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) and the visiting Caldwell Academy (Greensboro, NC), saw Cannon's basketball squad hold off Caldwell Academy by a tally of 64-60.
With the victory, Cannon improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 16. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Gaston Day won 94-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC)
Next up, the confront the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion (Durham, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 17. Caldwell Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Lion come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 68-62 non-league loss to St. David's (Raleigh, NC).
