November 14, 2023: Clinton, TN 37716 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) and the visiting Roane County Yellowjackets (Kingston, TN), saw Anderson County's basketball squad hold off Roane County by a tally of 54-47.
With the victory, Anderson County improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Fulton (Knoxville, TN) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 18. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Fulton lost 50-22 in their recent non-league battle against Hardin Valley Academy (Knoxville, TN)
The Yellowjackets (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against William Blount (Maryville, TN). The Governors come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, William Blount edged Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN), 73-8, in a non-league battle.
