Illinois High School Basketball - Moline nips Marengo
November 14, 2023: Moline, IL 61265 Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), 51-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Moline upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 15. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Kaneland won 52-34 in their recent non-league bout against Marengo (Marengo, IL)
Next up, the Indians play the Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 17. Marengo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Royals come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 40-38 non-league win over DeKalb (DeKalb, IL).
