The North Pontotoc Vikings basketball squad (Ecru, MS), was nudged 52-49 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS)

With the victory, Lafayette advances its record to 3-0 on the year. The Commodores host Regents (Oxford, MS) to meet the Lions in a non-league battle on Saturday, November 16. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 0-1. Regents lost 73-40 in their recent non-league battle against West Union (Myrtle, MS)

The Vikings now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Potts Camp for a non-league battle on Friday, November 15.
