The East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) football trounced the visiting West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA), 57-16 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now sport a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central for a non-league outing on Friday, November 21. East Ascension will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 52-24 non-league win over Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-2.

With the defeat, West Ouachita drops to 6-5 on the campaign.
