North Carolina High School Basketball - Gaston Day bests Hickory Christian Academy
November 14, 2025: Gastonia, NC 28056 The Gaston Day Spartans basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Hickory Christian Academy Knights to 33 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now possess a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Carmel Christian for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 18. Gaston Day will play a Cougars team coming off a 71-24 non-league loss to Concord Academy (Concord, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Hickory Christian Academy falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Caldwell Academy (Greensboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 18. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 2-1. Caldwell Academy won 67-54 in their recent non-league test against Freedom Christian Academy (Fayetteville, NC)
