Valley Christian Defenders (Cerritos, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), 51-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley Christian upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Defenders host Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, November 18. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Segerstrom lost 52-49 in their recent non-league bout against Foothill (Santa Ana, CA)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Morningside Monarchs (Inglewood, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, November 23. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
