Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rapides Mustangs (Lecompte, LA), 44-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sacred Heart upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Avoyelles Charter (Mansura, LA) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 16. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Avoyelles Charter won 70-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenmora (Glenmora, LA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Glenmora Wildcats (Glenmora, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 16. Rapides will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record.
