Alabama High School Basketball - Austin bests Gardendale
November 15, 2024: Decatur, AL 35601 The Austin Black Bears basketball team scored 69 points and limited the visiting Gardendale Rockets to 57 in the Black Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Black Bears now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hartselle for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 19. Austin will play a Tigers team coming off a 51-50 non-league loss to Brewer (Somerville, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Gardendale falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Rockets host Hueytown (Hueytown, AL) to play the Golden Gophers in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 19. The Golden Gophers go into the game with a record of 1-2. Hueytown lost 80-75 in their recent non-league game against Spain Park (Hoover, AL)
