In Saturday's non-league test, the Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) basketball team edged the visiting Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC), by a tally of 55-48.

The Eagles now possess a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Metrolina Christian Academy for a NCISAA Metrolina bout on Monday, November 17. Gaston Christian will play a Warriors team coming off a 60-59 non-league win over Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Providence Day falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Christ School (Arden, NC) to encounter the Greenies in a non-league test on Friday, November 21. The Greenies come into the test with a record of 4-0. Christ School won 69-62 in their recent non-league test against Davidson Day (Davidson, NC)
