Texas High School Basketball - Poteet overwhelms Irving
November 15, 2025: Irving, TX 75061 The Poteet Pirates basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Irving Tigers to 31 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Lovejoy for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 18. Poteet will confront a Leopards team coming off a 72-47 non-league win over Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Leopards record now stands at 1-0.
The Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Garland (Garland, TX). The Owls enter the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Garland was overwhelmed by Crandall (Crandall, TX), 75-50, in a non-league game.
