Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Linden-Kildare Tigers (Linden, TX), 36-35 in a non-league contest.

The Bulldogs (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Hughes Springs nipped McLeod (McLeod, TX), 49-28, in a non-league contest.

The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their outing against Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX). The Wildcats enter the non-league outing with a 1-5 record. In their last outing, Bloomburg got by Ore City (Ore City, TX), 35-20, in a non-league outing.
