November 15, 2025: Waco, TX 76712 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) and the visiting East Central Hornets (San Antonio, TX), observed Midway's basketball team edge East Central by a margin of 49-44.
The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their match against United South (Laredo, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, United South was nudged by Steele (Cibolo, TX), 43-40, in a non-league match.
The Hornets now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sam Houston for a non-league match on Tuesday, November 18. East Central will meet a Hurricanes squad coming off a 60-53 non-league loss to Sharyland (Mission, TX). The Hurricanes record now stands at 3-3.
