The Veterans Memorial Patriots basketball team scored 86 points and held the host Central Catholic Buttons to 70 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chapin for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 18. Veterans Memorial will battle a Huskies team coming off a 61-44 non-league win over Eastwood (El Paso, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 2-0.

The Buttons (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against McCollum (San Antonio, TX). The Cowboys enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, McCollum ran past South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX), 49-42, in a non-league contest.
