Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears (San Pedro, CA) and the host Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks (Los Angeles, CA), saw Port of Los Angeles's basketball squad hold off Math & Science College Preparatory by a tally of 84-80.

With the victory, Port of Los Angeles improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Polar Bears travel to Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro, CA) to play the Stars in a non-league challenge on Friday, November 18. The Stars come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Mary Star of the Sea won 52-48 in their recent non-league challenge against South East (South Gate, CA)

Next up, the Sharks play the ESAT Grizzlies (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 18. Math & Science College Preparatory will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
