November 16, 2022: Vilonia, AR 72173 Vilonia Eagles (Vilonia, AR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR), 53-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Vilonia upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Eagles host Benton (Benton, AR) to play the Panthers in a 5A South bout on Friday, November 18. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Benton won 49-28 in their recent non-league bout against Searcy (Searcy, AR)
Next up, the Bearkatz play the Jonesboro Hurricane (Jonesboro, AR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 18. Melbourne will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Hurricane go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 57-40 non-league loss to Nashville (Nashville, AR).
