The Pearland Oilers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Cypress Creek Cougars to 40 in the Oilers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Oilers now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hardin-Jefferson for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 16. Pearland will meet a Hawks team coming off a 77-67 non-league loss to Tompkins (Katy, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 3-2.
