November 16, 2023: New Waverly, TX 77358 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) and the host New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX), saw Diboll's basketball squad hold off New Waverly by a tally of 38-37.
With the victory, Diboll improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Shepherd (Shepherd, TX) to confront the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 16. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Shepherd won 46-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Livingston (Livingston, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 17. New Waverly will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 34-27 non-league loss to Trinity (Trinity, TX).
