In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Steele Knights basketball team scored a close 65-62 triumph over the Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs.

The Knights (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against O'Connor (Helotes, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, O'Connor nipped Spring (Spring, TX), 62-57, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 19. Fort Bend Austin will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 2-3 record after their 49-21 non-league win over Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX).
