New York High School Basketball - St. Mary's can't hold off Monsignor Scanlan
November 16, 2025: Bronx, NY 10465 Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders (Bronx, NY) supporters left the game satisfied Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting St. Mary's Gaels (Manhasset, NY), 50-43 in a non-league match.
The Crusaders (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Nazareth (Brooklyn, NY). The Kingsmen go into the NYC CHSAA Division 1 contest with a 0-1 record.
In their next game, the Gaels battle the Holy Cross Knights (Flushing, NY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 25. St. Mary's will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
