November 17, 2023: Effingham, IL 62401 The Effingham Flaming Hearts basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Dieterich Movin Maroons to 24 in the Flaming Hearts non-league triumph on Friday.
The Flaming Hearts now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Altamont for a non-league contest on Monday, November 20. Effingham will battle a Indians team coming off a 61-45 league win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL). The Indians record now stands at 2-0.
The Movin Maroons (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Brownstown/St. Elmo triumphed over Litchfield (Litchfield, IL), 55-25, in a non-league contest.
