Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX) and the visiting Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), saw Progreso's basketball squad knock off Porter by a tally of 47-28.

With the victory, Progreso improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Red Ants travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX) to play the Javelinas in a non-league challenge on Monday, November 20. The Javelinas come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest won 32-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, TX)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Rivera Raiders (Brownsville, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 21. Porter will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 34-31 non-league win over Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX).
