November 17, 2023: New Bern, NC 28562 The Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) basketball nipped the host New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 56-54 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Apex Friendship got by Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC), 62-38, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Carteret for a non-league test on Monday, November 20.
