In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Broughton Capitals basketball team scored a good 52-37 triumph over the Apex Friendship Patriots.

The Capitals (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Green Hope (Cary, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Green Hope topped East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC), 37-29, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Patriots face the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, November 18. Apex Friendship will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the outing with a 1-0 record after their 42-39 non-league win over Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC).
