Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Spalding Jaguars (Griffin, GA), 28-24 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lamar County upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Houston County (Warner Robins, GA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 20. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Houston County won 46-40 in their recent non-league bout against Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA)
