The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Centerburg Trojans to 50 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ashland for a Ohio Cardinal contest on Tuesday, November 29.

The Trojans (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Elgin (Marion, OH). The Comets enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Elgin was nudged by Bucyrus (Bucyrus, OH), 52-29, in a non-league contest.
