Georgia High School Basketball - McNair overwhelmed by Drew
November 18, 2022: Riverdale, GA 30274 The McNair Mustangs basketball team (Atlanta, GA), was overwhelmed 45-15 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Drew (Riverdale, GA)
The now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Locust Grove for a non-league battle on Tuesday, November 22. Drew will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 41-33 non-league win over Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Vernon (Atlanta, GA). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Mount Vernon Coretta Scott King YWLA (Atlanta, GA), 0-0, in a non-league battle.
First Quarter
Coming into the game CDHS Lady Titans were low in numbers due to injuries and illness, however the game plan was to jump out offensively and put points on the board quickly and set the tone.
Second Quarter
The Lady Titans continued to capitalize on their transition offense and get stops and cause turnovers defensively against a strong McNair team.
Third Quarter
Coming out of Halftime, the Lady Titans continued to put their foot on the gas and score. Led by seniors E. Johnson and E. Fountain, the Lady Titans outscored McNair in the third quarter.
Fourth Quarter
The Lady Titans sealed the win with defensive stops from T. Greeson and A. Lee.
