Indiana High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon nips Rushville

Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Rushville Lions (Rushville, IN), 54-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Marauders host East Central (St. Leon, IN) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Lions play the Beech Grove Hornets (Beech Grove, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 19. Rushville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 42-27 league win over Indianapolis Lutheran (Indianapolis, IN).
