Mississippi High School Basketball - Bayou Academy nips Copiah Academy
November 18, 2023: Cleveland, MS 38732 Bayou Academy Colts (Cleveland, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Copiah Academy Colonels (Gallman, MS), 57-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bayou Academy upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Colts host Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, November 20. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Simpson Academy won 89-38 in their recent non-league bout against Bowling Green (Franklinton, LA)
Next up, the Colonels play the Lamar Raiders (Meridian, MS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 20. Copiah Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 67-62 non-league loss to Brookhaven Academy (Brookhaven, MS).
