Mississippi High School Basketball - Provine nips Northwest Rankin
November 18, 2023: Brandon, MS 39232 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Provine Rams (Jackson, MS) and the host Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS), saw Provine's basketball squad hold off Northwest Rankin by a tally of 54-51.
With the victory, Provine improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS) to play the Titans in a non-league challenge on Monday, November 20. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Ridgeland won 61-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Jim Hill (Jackson, MS)
Next up, the Cougars play the Madison Central Jaguars (Madison, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 21. Northwest Rankin will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 84-32 non-league win over Yazoo County (Yazoo City, MS).
