November 18, 2023: Los Angeles, CA 90095 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA) and the host Geffen Academy Bruins (Los Angeles, CA), saw St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's basketball squad knock off Geffen Academy by a count of 44-26.
With the victory, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league challenge on Monday, November 20. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Los Osos won 65-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA)
Next up, the Bruins play the California Academy of Math & Science Rebels (Carson, CA) in a Coastal challenge, on Tuesday, November 28. Geffen Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
