Texas High School Basketball - Burleson can't hold off Granbury
November 18, 2025: Granbury, TX 76048 Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX), 44-40 in a non-league contest.
The Pirates (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Trinity (Euless, TX). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Trinity was tipped by Aledo (Aledo, TX), 48-20, in a non-league match.
The Elks now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Venus for a non-league match on Thursday, November 20. Burleson will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 44-42 non-league loss to Maypearl (Maypearl, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
