In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting First Baptist Christian Warriors basketball team scored a close 43-40 victory over the Covenant Christian Cougars.
With the victory, First Baptist Christian advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Warriors travel to The Awty International (Houston, TX) to face the Rams in a non-league match on Monday, December 1. The Rams enter the match with a record of 2-0. The Awty International won 37-35 in their recent non-league match against Frassati Catholic (Spring, TX)
The Cougars now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Concordia Lutheran for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 20. Covenant Christian will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 42-18 non-league win over Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-0.
