In Friday's non-league match, the host Alexander Bulldogs basketball team scored a tight 67-65 triumph over the Vela Sabercats.

In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, November 20. Alexander will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 8-5 record after their 40-26 non-league win over Lanier (San Antonio, TX).

With the defeat, Vela moves to 8-2 on the year. The Sabercats travel to Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX) to meet the Rattlers in a non-league match on Tuesday, November 23.
