In Friday's non-league outing, the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Triad Cardinals (North Lewisburg, OH), by a count of 55-14.

The Comets (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Ridgedale (Morral, OH). The Rockets go into the Northwest Central outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Ridgedale was crushed by Cardington-Lincoln (Cardington, OH), 58-26, in a non-league outing.
