The River Valley Raiders basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Gallia Academy Blue Devils to 32 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Raiders now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vinton County for a Tri-Valley - Ohio contest on Thursday, January 6.

The Blue Devils (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph Central (Ironton, OH). The Flyers enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
