The Alexander Cougars basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Archer Tigers to 48 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eufaula for a non-league contest on Monday, November 21. Alexander will meet a Tigers team coming off a 59-45 non-league loss to Dothan (Dothan, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.

The Tigers (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hillgrove (Powder Springs, GA). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Hillgrove was defeated by Lee County (Leesburg, GA), 64-55, in a non-league contest.
