Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Midway Panthers (Waco, TX), 72-69 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fort Bend Hightower upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Dobie (Houston, TX) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Monday, November 21. The Longhorns come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Dobie lost 40-35 in their recent non-league bout against Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX)
