Texas High School Basketball - New Caney nips West Orange-Stark
November 19, 2022: Orange, TX 77631 New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Orange-Stark Mustangs (Orange, TX), 21-16 in a non-league bout.
With the win, New Caney upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Lake Creek won 52-23 in their recent non-league bout against Tomball (Tomball, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears (Orange, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 bout, on Friday, December 9. West Orange-Stark will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
