The South Mecklenburg Sabres defeated the visiting Providence Panthers basketball squad by a final score of 47-31 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Sabres clash with the Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, November 22. South Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a 1-0 record after their 60-27 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC).

The Panthers (0-2) will now prepare for their outing against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines come into the non-league outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, West Cabarrus overcame Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 52-25, in a non-league outing.
