California High School Basketball - Walnut fells Capistrano Valley
November 19, 2025: Mission Viejo, CA 92692 The Walnut Mustangs basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Capistrano Valley Cougars to 46 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Mustangs now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Calvary Baptist for a non-league game on Thursday, November 20. Walnut will confront a Cougars team coming off a 85-43 non-league loss to Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Capistrano Valley falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Mark Keppel (Alhambra, CA) to confront the Aztecs in a non-league game on Friday, November 21. The Aztecs enter the outing with a record of 1-0. Mark Keppel won 52-41 in their recent non-league outing against Temple City (Temple City, CA)
