St. Thomas Catholic Eagles (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lutheran South Academy Pioneers (Houston, TX), 78-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Thomas Catholic upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Westbury Christian (Houston, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, November 11. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Westbury Christian lost 55-44 in their recent non-league bout against Central Catholic (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Cooper Dragons (The Woodlands, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 12. Lutheran South Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
