November 2, 2022: Sparta, NJ 07871 Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ), 2-1 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Griffins clash with the Camden Catholic Fighting Irish (Cherry Hill, NJ) in a non-league match, on Saturday, November 5. Donovan Catholic will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Montclair Kimberley Academy (Montclair, NJ).
With the loss, Pope John XXIII drops to 2-3 on the campaign.
