In Saturday's non-league test, the Lamar Texans (Houston, TX) basketball squad trounced the visiting Sterling Raiders (Houston, TX), by a score of 71-34.

Next, the Texans encounter the Beaumont United Timberwolves (Beaumont, TX) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, November 5. Lamar will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Timberwolves come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 44-38 non-league loss to Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX).
