In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks basketball team scored a good 63-46 triumph over the Marvin Ridge Mavericks.

The Mavericks (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Lake Norman topped North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC), 93-25, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mavericks confront the Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 22. Marvin Ridge will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 54-51 non-league loss to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC).
