November 20, 2024: St. Petersburg, FL 33705 Lakewood Spartans (St. Petersburg, FL) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Largo Packers (Largo, FL), 60-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lakewood advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Spartans host Boca Ciega (Gulfport, FL) to meet the Pirates in a non-league match on Friday, December 6. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 0-1.
The Packers now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northeast for a non-league match on Friday, November 22. Largo will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 74-31 non-league loss to Jesuit (Tampa, FL). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.
