The Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball defeated the host Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX), 50-42 in Thursday's non-league test.

Next, the Sabercats clash with the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders (Pharr, TX) in a non-league test, on Friday, November 21. Vela will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Raiders come into the test with a 6-2 record after their 82-6 non-league win over Mercedes (Mercedes, TX).
