The Hawthorne Cougars basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting George Washington Prep Generals to 38 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host WISH Academy for a non-league contest on Monday, November 28. Hawthorne will battle a Owls team coming off a 51-5 non-league win over Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA). The Owls record now stands at 1-0.
