November 21, 2023: Kewanee, IL 61443 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) and the visiting Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), saw Wethersfield's basketball squad wallop Putnam County by a tally of 73-31.
With the victory, Wethersfield improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Flying Geese travel to Elmwood (Elmwood, IL) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Friday, November 24. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Elmwood lost 42-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Annawan (Annawan, IL)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, November 22. Putnam County will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to Annawan (Annawan, IL).
