Texas High School Basketball - Permian can't hold off Abilene
November 21, 2023: Abilene, TX 79603 The Abilene Eagles basketball team scored 32 points and restricted the visiting Permian Panthers to 30 in the Eagles non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Vernon for a non-league contest on Saturday, November 25. Abilene will battle a Lions team coming off a 56-36 non-league win over Gainesville (Gainesville, TX). The Lions record now stands at 6-0.
The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lamesa (Lamesa, TX). The Tornadoes come into the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Lamesa edged Post (Post, TX), 62-15, in a non-league contest.
